If only I could show my damselfish the receipt from buying some other fish and get them not to attack new fish.

My friend converted his 180 gallon reef tank into a cichlid aquarium, and on September 1, 2009, he gave me so much of his live rock that I couldn't fit all of it into the 28 gallon tank I setup to receive it. He also gave me one Yellow Tang, one Purple Tang, a Tomato Clown, a Green Chromis, a Watchman Goby, five Pyjama Cardinals, and about six damselfish. been away a long time

Figuratively speaking I was away, anyway. I just haven't been doing much with the aquarium, and it shows. I had a brown slime outbreak that turned into a black slime outbreak, and over the course of repeatedly cleaning my 28, two nights ago I discovered two starfish and a chiton. Today I did a big water change and put in about 4 lbs. of new live rock and replaced some aragonite sand. I am planning to buy an external refugium soon, after I get an internet order delivered.
