Sounds like a great idea! We need all the education we can get!
No we don't have a sump. This was originally a fresh water tank and there was not room in the cabinet for one. We use a carbon filter and a protein skimmer.
Nice tank. You have a lot of room for corals. I can't wait to see what you add. Do you have a sump?
