how high should i keep my light fixture above the water level? I am lighting a 24 inch deep tank with 2X250 DE halides with 2X54 T5 blues. keeping a reef tank from softies to lps to sps. Continue

i've had a freshwater tank for ove 6 years untill my kids decided to play with the heater on th tank and yank it up to the highest setting they can and i woke up one morning with all the fish floating. i already converted that into a FOWLER. my reef is a 120 gal AGA RR. i started in saltwater back in june of 2006 with a 55 gal tank after a long research and inquiries over the interne and through my friends who have reef tanks. so by June 3rd of 2006 i set up my 55 gal with LR & LS. af
