Saltwater & Marine aquarium network

Beginning

This is my first post. Found that after joining I have lots of friends (go figure) that I have never met before. Posted a few pictures and discovered I don't have very many on this computer, guess I need to rectify that. Maybe I should get to work rather than play with this.... NAWWWW. I really want to get some more recent pictures of the tank now that it is finally on the recovery stages after my disaster, so the camera will be out tonight... wait a minute, that means I have to clean the tank.

I've seen some major changes in the tank since switching from Instant Ocean to Tropic Marin Pro Reef, switching from T5's to halides, top-off water change as well from straight RO/DI to Kalkwasser. I have a few more changes in the works, I'm adding a UV Sterilizer, I'm going to swap out some bulbs and going to test the Reeflux 12K bulb, then the major project comes. Currently my hood is made of wood (temp for halides), after working with some acrylic I am going to take on the task of building a new hood from black acrylic, only issue right now is the doors. Once that is figured out it will be acrylic purchase time.

So I will leave it at that for now.... more to come later.
