After I got home from work, I checked the chemistry on my tank and everything is very stable and going quite well!!! One thing that I noticed when I finally fixed the salinity issue in my tank is now the Calcium Levels and the Hardness are quickly being depleted. I was not having this problem when my salinity level was out of wack. Now since it is stable, the corals and clams seem to be soaking up the calcium like a thirsty camel in an oasis!!!
I was at a constant Calcium level of about 480 and a hardness level of right around 12. Once the salinity issue was rectified, the Calcium dropped down to 400 along with the water hardness of around 9. So it looks like things are normal now, which I am glad to see. So far all of the corals are looking great, only the bubble coral is not fully expanded, that will take some time!!
The Xenia that I thought died off is really looking great. It is almost about time to cut it and place it around the tank.
