Gonna start out with a 10 gallon nano reef with a 20 gallon sump/fuge. I would need to design the layout for the sump/fuge for this tank. I have to decide on how much live sand to use in the 10 DT and in the fuge. Planning on putting in about 7 or 8 pounds of base rocks then about 5 to 7 pounds of LR. and in the fuge, I'll probably will have between 1/2 lb to 1 1/2 - 2 lb in there. There's one reason for the 10 nano, and that is get a goos start on purple coralin algae. This way, I can propeagate the coralin to my 38 to give it a jump start.
I'll have to do a few DIY's for this nano like make the stand so I can put the 20 in the bottom. and make a hob overflow for the nano dt so i would have the drainage to the skimmer in the 20. It should be allot easier to setup a 10 nano than a 38 or bigger reef.
In 2010 after march or april, I forgot I'll have a little bit more money since the computer I'm renting to own will be mine at that time when the last payment is made. this way it can open my budget for the 38 reef a little bit more by almost $100 a month.
On the 38 I will be doing different DIY's for it to help with the initial cost for it that reef. more on the 38 reef later once i finalize everything for it that build.
