Well resume meaning for grad school.. i have gotten my name on some publications but havent done too much of my own scientific projects. The frag tank will be where I do an experiment on (im editing details still) coral growth rates when fed and not fed, to see what the rate of growth is for ricordea florida. They have symbiotic zooxanthelae which provide them food but id like to know how much they actually provide for the corals. (i.e. if there was all of a sudden a die-out of food in the water column would they be able to sustain their growth and lifestyle) I was thinking of selling them but figured id rather keep them for this project. Ive fragged them once or twice. I hate how they grab onto rocks and you can't make a good cut unless you scrape them off it.
Its IS beautiful outside. Its sort of chilly even in the shade here. I'm sure it'll get hotter by the end of april or mid-may.. Lemme know what you find from your LFS!
Hey! havent been on in a while.. figured id get on and update something or whatever. I started a frag tank at my work to do some kind of project with them. workin on the ol resume.. How are things?
Yes, you should try some, I believe marinedepotlive.com has some in their plant section under the invert page. I got lucky enough to pick some up at my LFS. Apparently, it's hard to keep going, but I haven't had too much problem with it. I dose daily with argamilk, not sure if that has anything to do with it, but it grows like a weed and I even have a small runner from it.
And I didn't mention it before, but THANK YOU for the compliments to my tank. :)
Thank you for your compliments. I enjoyed knitting for the sake of knitting. Once the sweater is finished I put them in zip lock bags and store them away. I think in August I might be selling a few to a store bcause I have too many. The last time I counted , I have 60 sweaters and all not even worn as I have dogs and they destroy sweaters as soon as they jump up on me.
Glad you like them.
Hi Kimmy - The two green trees are Shaving Brush plant. The little "needles" for lack of a better term seem to love the current and grew upwards instead of out.
you guys were tougher than the Jazz .... if that makes it any better.
our son is doing much better. I actually think he learned a valuable lesson about driving.
